Waterfront Master Planning

As part of the Gardiner Bundled Projects, Wright-Pierce, in association with Kent Associates, led a comprehensive planning effort for continued improvements to the Town's waterfront. Several interactive public meetings were held to develop a master plan that will guide the development of the downtown waterfront area. The goal of the Master Plan is to provide a comprehensive view of the entire waterfront area, incorporating earlier master planning efforts to produce a consolidated vision for waterfront development.

Information from the Master Planning effort has been used to identify sources of funding for ongoing improvements to the waterfront.  The identified funding sources include Community Development Block Grant, Congressional Earmark, Community Enterprise Grant, Municipal Investment Trust Fund, Maine Department of Transportation Enhancement funds, Maine Department of Conservation Trails Fund, Land and Water Conservation Fund, Riverfront Community Bond, private funding, and local match.
