Wright-Pierce performed a needs assessment and alternatives analysis to cost-effectively protect surface and ground water resources from wastewater, stormwater, and land-use contamination while promoting economic development.

Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade
The Mattabassett District, Connecticut

Wright-Pierce updated the facilities plan design concepts and provided full engineering services for the comprehensive upgrade of this 35 MGD facility. This ACEC award-winning facility achieves stringent nitrogen discharge compliance and boasts first generation state-of-the-art emissions control.

Lift Station 45 Upgrade
Orlando, Florida

3D models and cost estimates assisted City staff in visualizing and selecting modifications for this lift station upgrade. Project features include retrofit of the existing dry well into new wet wells with a flow isolation structure, new submersible pumps, a new electrical building, and modifications to two-stage odor control.

Long Term CSO Control Plan
Portland, Maine

Wright-Pierce developed a water quality monitoring plan and field operating procedures to collect data throughout the watershed for a LTCP Tier III update. Training and coordinated collection efforts took place throughout the project with City field staff.

I/I Reduction and Infrastructure Improvements
Exeter, New Hampshire

Wright-Pierce provided design services for upgrades to the water, wastewater, and storm drainage infrastructure for an area of the Town with a goal of increased collection system reliability, reduced public and private I/I, and enhanced stormwater management.

Force Main Repair
Newport, Rhode Island

A fast-track hydraulic analysis led to engineering services for emergency repair of a 9,500’ force main in a busy downtown with railroad crossings. The project features an innovative approach to repair using slip-lining, fusing, and dig-and-replace to minimize impact to businesses and tourism.
