Civil CAD Designer

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seeking a mid-level Civil CAD Designer to join our company. The Civil CAD Designer will assist in the production of civil engineering documents for construction and/or permitting for a variety of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects.  Additional responsibilities may include surveying, construction inspection, manhole inspections and producing 3d renderings for proposals.


  • Proficient in preparing civil engineering construction and permitting drawings for a variety of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Civil 3D, i.e., creating alignments, surfaces, grading, gravity and/or pressure networks, corridors, and quantity takeoffs.
  • Ability to perform field related tasks, i.e.. surveying, construction inspection, manhole inspections.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of MS Office


  • 3-6 years’ experience as a Civil CAD Designer.
  • Knowledgeable in surveying principles and practices.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of ArcGIS is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of drone and related software for mapping/surveying purposes is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of InfraWorks, SketchUp, and 3ds max to create material for proposals is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of MicroStation is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirments

  • Moderate lifting and physical activity may be required for this position as part of occasional fieldwork


  • OSHA10 and Confined Space Training considered a plus
  • Part 107 Remote Pilot considered a plus


  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
