GIS Analyst (Entry-Level)

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our company.

Responsibilities

  • Providing GIS support to coworkers and clients
  • Developing GIS data using a variety of sources and methods, including GPS field work
  • Acquiring spatial data from municipal, state, and federal sources, and integrating the data into the organization’s GIS
  • Conducting spatial analysis on a wide variety of infrastructure projects
  • Implementing web-based GIS systems
  • Producing paper and digital maps for internal use and for clients

Desired GIS Software & Skills

  • ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro
  • ArcGIS extensions: Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst
  • ArcGIS Online and Esri mobile apps: Collector, Survey123, Workforce
  • Experience with Raster and vector GIS editing
  • Working with related tables, attachments, topologies
  • Trimble GPS, Global Mapper and familiarity with public utilities, municipal GIS data, and natural resources considered a plus

Education

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Geography or GIS, or related

Office Location(s)

  • Portland, ME preferred. Portsmouth, NH; Manchester, NH; Andover, MA; or Topsham, ME may be considered.
