Yarmouth, ME – Route 1 Water Main Replacement
The project includes the following Work:
Replacement of approximately 3,000 linear feet of water main on Route 1 in Yarmouth ME. The new water main will replace the existing cast iron main. This water main replacement includes replacement of associated valves, hydrants and service lines. Replacement will start at DeLorme Drive and extend north on Route 1 to the Cousins River bridge. The existing cast iron water mains on Route 1 will be abandoned in place. The materials furnished by Owner are indicated in the contract documents. The Contractor shall install materials furnished by the Owner. The project is in advance of proposed work by MaineDOT to extend the Beth Condon walking trail on the southerly shoulder of Route 1. The base bid is designed around replacement of water main via open cut installation. A bid alternate is included for water main installation via horizontal directional drill.
